Grand Finals – Berrambool Oval

Winners of each Semi-Final will meet in the Grand Final.

The Grand Final will operate under at Berrambool Oval an “Event Major” COVID-19 Safety Plan which has significantly different logistical challenges for us to manage in comparison to the standard community event all clubs are currently operating under. This allows us to work to 25% of the venue capacity (meaning more than 500 in attendance at any one time), however requires it to be a ticketed event along with all attendees remaining in their allocated zone. More details on how this will operate will be provided next week but it will see a cap on tickets and will likely require any person wishing to attend Grand Finals to pre-purchase a ticket online.

In addition, to ensure compliance with maximum attendee numbers, we will have an approximately 90 minute break between the Junior Grand Finals (Under 16s match) and the start of the Senior Finals (Mens Division 2) to hopefully reduce numbers in the venue. This will see the final match of the day (Men’s Division 1) played under lights. All match times to be confirmed in the coming week.

COVID Compliance

It is critical that all clubs follow all COVID requirements during the finals, and ensure its players, officials and importantly spectators do also. Each venue will operate under the host clubs COVID-19 Safety Plan and any confirmed breaches across the finals series will see significant penalties imposed. We will provide significant communications and information to clubs to share with members over the coming week/s if you can please ensure is circulated and reinforced.

We are finalising how we will announce / present these and will advise in due course however the likely scenario will be partially on social media in the lead up to the Grand Final as well as during the Premiers presentations after each Grand Final match.

This year we will only be presenting medals / trophies to the winner of each competitions Best & Fairest, Umpire awards and a Volunteer of the Year.
