AFL NSW/ACT Coach Development Manager, Tim Schmidt says he and the team are excited to reach the regions with this wide range of coaching know-how.

“Coaches across the state will have access to attend high level workshops with relevant topics to today’s game,” said Schmidt.

“The main focus for 2019 will be building relationships and coaching females. We want to keep changing the topics from previous years to make sure coaches are exposed to continual learning opportunities.

“With the game changing all the time, it is important for coaches, all across the nation, not just in New South Wales and the ACT, to continue to grow their knowledge with the game as its continually changing.

“The importance of coaches attending workshops to continue their knowledge of the game is extremely important. The main area for player retention comes from coach and player relationships, so this will be a big focus in 2019.”

More information on how to register for the coaching workshops will be released throughout the year.
