Round 10 Domino’s ‘Hotshot of the Week’
We are excited to announce our ‘Hotshots of the Week’ for Round 10, thanks to Domino’s Tura Beach!
Over the next two weeks of this award, AFL Sapphire Coast will be celebrating the volunteers that put their hand up to be a part of our Representative program! A mountain of work goes on behind the scenes for these carnivals and without the support of these people we wouldn’t have a program for our kids (and now Women!)
On that note, our first ‘Hotshot’ goes to Carlin Stanford from the Bega Bombers, who is the coach of the Youth Girls Sapphire Coast Stingrays!
Carlin currently is the coach of the Bega Bombers U14s side, and this year put her hand up to coach our Youth Girls side, after former coach Shane Crowe stepped up to the Womens team. Carlin has taken this opportunity to invest plenty of her time to making sure we have the best quality of player representing the Sapphire Coast. In doing this, the team heading up to Nowra is looking likely to be very competitive!
Well done Carlin and good luck next weekend!
The second ‘Hotshot” of the week, goes to a well known and loved figure in the league and also now the coach of the inaugural Sapphire Coast Women’s team, Shane Crowe!

Shane is now the 3rd Crowe to receive this award, with his two daughters also receiving a hotshot award each for both reaching 50 games in the Womens grade!
Shane decided to coach the Women’s side after coaching the Edens women’s team and the Stingrays Youth Girls team for the past 3 years. Shane has been able to bring together the top players within the competition to hopefully be able to bring home a win next weekend!

If you have someone in your club across the weekend who has a standout individual performance on the field, shows great sportsmanship, goes above and beyond off the field, or just deserves recognition for their service to their club, the umpiring group or the league generally, please nominate them by emailing Mitch a short write up, along with a photo of them.
Each weekly winner will receive a ‘Hot Shot’ pizza voucher thanks to Domino’s Tura Beach as a reward for their efforts.
