Round 10 Preview
Narooma v Pambula
Two really good games on paper this weekend in the senior grade. The Lions host Pambula on home soil with both teams coming into the contest off the back of wins. Narooma have won 6 straight agmes although the club is working through some injuries with Ben McCuloch likely done for the season whilst Liam Clothier and Jai Reed missed last week. The Panthers controlled play last weekend against the Sea Eagles and Pambula will need to do so again this weekend if they are to claim a valuable four points this weekend with the team sitting outside the top two teams on the ladder.

Player to Watch: Colin Fosternally, The Lions was one of the Lions best last weekend against Eden. Prediction: Narooma by 8 points.

Tathra v Merimbula
The Sea Eagles have lost three straight games and the club will be looking to get back on the winners list this weekend at home as they take on Merimbula. The Diggers come into the contest off the back of the bye with Merimbula to be fresh and hopeful of maintainig theirgood form prior to the bye. A win for Narooma and Merimbula this weekend will mean an 8 point gap for the current top two. Merimbula have played some good posession football in 2018 although the club may need to play a more direct style this weekend on the smaller Lawrence Park. After a low scoring match last weekend the Sea Eagles will want to kick a big score this weekend to give themselves a chance of claiming all four points this weekend.

Player to Watch: Prediction: Lance Musgrave, The Digger has been an integral part of the team in the games that he has played this season. A key link at half forward for the club. Merimbula by 16 points.

Women’s
Some important games in the women’s grade this weekend. The Whalers had a shock loss to the Narooma Lions last weekend and the club will be looking to get back on the winners list this weekend against the Giants. The Giants nearly claimed the 4 points last weekend against Tathra in a 2 points loss and with the Whalers vulnerable after their loss, the Giants will no doubt take it up to Eden.

In Narooma, the Lions who had their biggest win of the teams history last weekend, Narooma will take on a Bermagui side coming off a good win against Merimbula. With Pambula taking on Bega this weekend, Bermagui need to cause a minor upset if they want to stay in touch with the top four sides.

In Bega the Bombers host Pambula. The Panthers were too strong for Bega last weekend with Kiarna Woolley-Blain booting 9 goals for the match. The Panthers who sit inside the top 4 will be looking to boost their percentage this weekend in case they slip up towards the latter part of the season and let the Breakers and Giants back in the hunt.

The final game of the weekend sees Tathra play the Merimbula. The Sea Eagles have leapfrogged Eden after last weekends matches and sit solely on top of the competition standings. Look for Tathra to continue their good form and claim the four points.

Player to Watch: Tayla Wilson, has 8 goals in 8 matches in 2018. Prediction: Narooma, Tathra, Eden & Pambula.

Round 10 Preview
Under 16’s
There is some big games on the cards this weekend in the under 16 grade. In Narooma, The Lions take on Bermagui for the first time this season and it is set to be a big match between the two clubs. The Lions lead the competition by 4 points and a win against their northern rivals will see Narooma maintain top spot. Bermagui come off a close victory against Merimbula and will be looking to cause an upset this weekend.

In Tathra the Sea Eagles take on Merimbula on home soil. Tathra were unable to hold onto their three quarter time lead against the Giants last weekend and will be keen to take the four points against 3rd placed Merimbula this weekend. The Diggers kicked straight last weekend at home against the Breakers althoughthe side was unable to close the gap after Bermagui started the game the stronger side.

In the final game of the season, the Panthers host the Giants in Bega. With only the one win in 2018, the Panthers will have their work cut out for them in this contest. the Giants have not traveled well in past weeks which could leave them vulnerable as the Panthers look to cause a minor upset this weekend.

Player to Watch: Rory Spurgeon, The Lions ruckman will need to be on top of his game this weekend as his side takes on Bermagui. Prediction: Tathra, Broulee/Moruya & Narooma.

Under 14’s
Tathra take on Merimbula this weekend in what should be a game that will help shape the top four as we edge closer to the end of the season. Merimbula currently sip in fourth although are level on 4 points with the Sea Eagles and Bega Bombers. The Diggers are yet to play the Sea Eagles in 2018 and it will be interesting to see how the clubs approach this exciting contest.

In Narooma the Breakers are set to host the third placed Broulee/Moruya Giants. The Giants claimed the four points last weekend against Tathra and the Giants Brock DeWinter has been integral to the clubs success up forward. Seb Giri has also been important for the Giants this season and the young Giant will have his work cut out this weekend against a midfield of Tom O’Meara, Campbell Moresi among others. Will Bermagui make a statement or are the Giants for real in 2018?

In the final game, the Bombers host Pambula. Pambula were too strong for Bega last weekend and the team will want to gain another 4 points this weekend as they look to solidify their top two position on the ladder. The Bombers have just the one win in season 2018 although a good performacne this weekend will give the side confidence leading into the back end of the season.

Player to Watch: Ruben Yee, has been ever present for the Bega Bombers in 2018. Yee has been a consistent player in the midfield for the Bombers. Prediction: Bermagui, Pambula & Merimbula.

Under 12’s
The under 12’s competition is hotting up in 2018 with plenty of good games on the cards this weekend. One of the biggest matches of the weekend will be Narooma hosting Bermagui. The grand final rematch from 2017, sees both teams up at the top of the ladder in 2018. The Breakers have had the edge over Narooma in past games and a win this weekend will help in their quest for a top 2 finish.

In Bega the Bombers host Pambula after Bega got the better of the matchup last weekend in Pambula. That win saw Bega jump over Pambula into the top 4 and another win this weekend would see the side move two wins clear in 4th. Look for the Panthers to rebound from last weekends loss and make a good game of it this weekend in what will be a cracking contest.

The Whalers host Broulee/Moruya this weekend. Both sides come into the match with totally opposite form. The Giants come in extremely confident after two wins in a row whilst the Whalers have had a tough couple of weeks against the competitions top teams. With Jemma Pollock still out for the Whalers, look for the Giants to have a real chance of claiming the four points this weekend.

In the final match the Sea Eagles host Merimbula. It is bottom versus top and Merimbula should continue their winning ways.

Player to Watch: Jack Pollock, The Whaler has stood up in recently playing some good football. Prediction: Broulee/Moruya, Merimbula, Bega & Bermagui.
