STINGRAYS TEAM ANNOUNCED

Last night at the final senior representative training session, coach Luke Taylor announced the final 23 man squad that will head to Batemans Bay this Saturday to take on AFL South Coast at 2pm.

After a comprehensive win against AFL Canberra 4th Grade in 2016, the Stingray’s are looking forward to challenge the South Coast who have defeated AFL Canberra 3rd grade in the past 2 seasons.

“We definitely feel the South Coast are a step above – we put Canberra to the sword last year and in our own right we’re confident ahead of the weekend,” coach Taylor said.

“They’ve had our measure in previous encounters over the last decade, but we’re keen to get out there and give it a good shake.”

There has been some notable outs from 2016 in Luke Moresi, Kel Evans, Scott Proctor, Scott Hay among others although there are some big ins like Louis Coulton, Stephen Butterworth, Daniel Worden, Charlie Shepherd whilst retaining key players such as Jordan Pilgrim, Rowan Hawkey and Luke Talty. The Sapphire Coast has put together a strong squad for the match up.
